At Doug Dewey, Physical Therapy we specialize in hands on (manual) treatment of spine and extremities for recent or chronic painful muscle and joint conditions. Treatment consists of joint and/or soft tissue mobilizations, primarily using the technique of Jone's Strain and Counterstrain. Doug has developed a variation of this technique and used it daily since 2000, developing new uses and applications continuously. Other treatments include stretching, strengthening and spinal stabilization exercises, modalities, traction. Home exercise programs are tailored to each patient’s needs.

We work with area family practice doctors, orthopedic and neurosurgeons, podiatrists, chiropractors and massage therapists. Many of our patients are self-referred. We do not treat migraines, TMJ, neurological conditions (such as stroke, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, or cerebral palsy) or pediatric patients.
